#IPOB :A Federal High Court in Abuja Has Granted Order To AGF, Malami To Pay Glory Okolie N60m For Unlawful Detention

A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted mandatory orders to the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, Abubakar Malami to pay miss Glory Okolie N60m for unlawful detention by the Nigerian police.

The 21-year-old lady, who was in detention since June 17, 2021 over an alleged relationship with members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and its militant wing, and she since then has dragged the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, to court.

The Applicant filed her fundamental right enforcement suit and was demanding her immediate and unconditional release from detention, as well as, an order, mandating the Respondents to pay her N1billion as general and punitive cost for infringing on her rights.
