LP Chairman Has Reacted After Kwankwaso Reveals Why Northerners May Not Support Peter Obi In 2023
The National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Julius Abure has reacted to a Statement credited to Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a Former Governor of Kano State and 2023 Presidential Candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) that Northerners will not vote for Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) Candidate if he decides to Contest for Presidency in 2023.
It will be recalled that Kwankwaso had on Sunday Night stated during an Interview with Channels Television that it will be difficult for Northerners to support Peter Obi because of the call for agitations by the South-East. He added that he is offering the South-East a golden opportunity for Peter Obi to be his Running Mate.

Abure during an interview with The Punch said “Peter Obi is the man of the moment, he has the track record and he is the most popular as we speak, not Kwankwaso. Fairness and Equity does not favour Kwankwaso, the North-West Region where he hails from has produced Two Presidents ( Late Umaru Musa Yar’adua and the Incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari) in the last 23years.
Speaking further, The LP Scribe said Nigerians ‘ll not accept another President from the North-West. “These are Factors that have come to play and I don’t think we should be arrogant about it, Abure said”.
