BREAKING: Paris Saint-Germain have announced Luis Campos has joined the club as a Football Advisor. 🔴🔵

Former Monaco and Lille sporting director Luis Campos will start work as Paris Saint-Germain’s football advisor today.

Campos’ arrival at Parc des Princes signals the end of Leonardo’s time at the club.

Leonardo’s departure follows a major review by club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi which will also see Mauricio Pochettino leave the club within the coming days. Nice’s Christophe Galtier is the leading contender to take over the reins from Pochettino.

Campos, 57, worked closely with PSG forward Kylian Mbappe during their time together at Monaco.

Mbappe recently turned down interest from Real Madrid to extend his stay in Paris by a further three years.

Campos, who was employed by Jose Mourinho as a scout at Real Madrid in 2012, brought the likes of Radamel Falcao, Anthony Martial and Fabinho to Monaco during his reign.

He helped to build the Monaco and Lille sides which won Ligue 1 in 2017 and 2021 respectively.

Luis Campos: “I am very happy to join PSG, which I consider the most ambitious and exciting club in the world of football. We share the same vision, a vision in which I firmly believe, and I look forward to starting work to develop the club’s exceptional potential.”
