
[BREAKING] 2023: Kingsley Moghalu defeated in presidential primaries
Dumebi Kachikwu, the founder and Chairman of Roots Television Nigeria, has emerged as the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2023 general elections.
A former Deputy-Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Kingsley Moghalu, has been defeated in the presidential primary election of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Dumebi Kachikwu, a media entrepreneur, beat Moghalu to the ticket at the presidential convention of the party held at Abeokuta, Ogun State on Wednesday.
He received 977 votes against Moghalu’s 589. Chukwuka Monye came third with 339 votes.
Dumebi Kachikwu is the younger brother of former minister Ibe Kachikwu.
In a piece of related news, a son of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland in Kogi State, Prince Malik Ado-Ibrahim, has emerged the presidential candidate of Young Progressives Party (YPP).
He defeated his counterpart, Mrs. Ruby Issac, with over 66 votes. Ruby Issac garnered 4 votes.
Giving his brief remarks afterwards on Wednesday, Ado-Ibrahim, urged Nigerians to put away religious and ethnic diversity, for collective development.
