Photos: Former Nigeria President, Mr Goodluck Jonathan Posts Photos Of Himself In Italy On Twitter
Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has released photos of himself in Como, Italy, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) began the screening of aspirants for the presidential primary election coming up on June 6, 2022.
It was earlier reported that Goodluck Jonathan would contest for president of Nigeria in 2023 on the platform of the APC.
The report said that some cabals in the presidency are planning to make Jonathan the consensus candidate for the ruling party.
Recall that a Fulani group bought the APC presidential nomination form for Goodluck Jonathan a few weeks ago. The former president rejected the form, saying that he wasn’t consulted before the decision was made.
However, the former president had recently met with the National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Adamu, and President Muhammadu Buhari’s nephew, Daura. The media reported that the meetings are connected with his 2023 presidential bid.
However, Jonathan was missing from the list of presidential aspirants released by the ruling party on Monday, May 30, 2022.
The screening of the aspirants has also started in Abuja and several aspirants have been screened by the committee headed by John Odigie Oyegun.
A few hours after the commencement of the screening, Jonathan, who travelled to Italy a few days ago, posted photos of himself on his verified Twitter handle.
He said, “Great time today in Como, Italy, at the meeting of @EcamCouncil International Advisory Board where members held a preparatory session ahead of this year’s Council Summit.”
