#Edinson #Cavani finally took part in his first #Manchester #United training session after joining the club this summer as a free agent.

The 33-year-old frontman was forced to undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine period following his arrival in the UK in light of the country’s coronavirus measures.

But with the two week spell having now elapsed, Cavani was free to be put through his paces alongside his team-mates at the club’s Carrington complex on Sunday.

Cavani was one of four deadline day arrivals at Old Trafford, with the veteran ace having rounded off a mixed summer of business. He penned a one-year deal after his release from Paris Saint-Germain.

However, despite signing his lucrative £200,000-per-week deal on October 5, Cavani was not able to make his long-awaited debut against Newcastle at the weekend due to the enforced isolation period.

The Uruguay international was pictured training at home in a bid to retain his fitness levels prior to heading to the club’s training facilities for the first time.

He was snapped walking on to the field alongside Nemanja Matic – with a series of images also showing him getting involved in team drills.

The former Napoli and Palermo hitman’s debut for his new club may come against his old side PSG on Tuesday. United will travel to Paris to kickstart this season’s Champions League campaign.

And his series of interviews after signing for the Old Trafford giants have underlined his desire to help the club win silverware again.

Cavani, who scored 200 goals in 301 games for PSG, even sensationally insisted that his target is to win the Premier League.

He told United’s official website: ‘I believe that you can’t help but think that a club like Manchester United can aspire to win the title.

‘Starting with the Premier League, and then moving on to other trophies.

‘That’s what I would like to achieve with this club, win trophies, win titles, and then to be able to make the same impression here that I’ve always tried to make with every club I’ve played at.’
