My husband proposed via Blackberry chat – Chacha Eke says while celebrating wedding anniversary
Actress Charity Eke Faani popularly known as Chacha Eke is over the moon today as she celebrates her 7th wedding anniversary with her handsome husband, Austin Faani. The actress who couldn’t contain her joy has been flooding her timeline with lovely family pictures to celebrate the big day. She also made a video where she catalog the seven years journey on her you tube page. The actress who rose to fame through her crying roles in movies is no doubt enjoying the journey which she said had its ups and down.
Recalling the advice her mother gave her which greatly influenced her choice of life partner she said “My mum always exemplify marriage in a ridiculous way, she used to tell me to pick a normal young man with prospect, that I should not marry an already made man, I grew up with those words vibrating within me and it influenced my choice of man which I have not regretted till today”
Also reflecting on how she met her husband and the way he proposed to her, she stated
“When I join the industry, he was already doing well in his own field of work, I met him through my friend Eve; Our friendship grew and he proposed to me through a blackberry chat, I accepted his proposal because I could see a place where I can express myself and my career unlike some men who would stop their wives from pursuing their career”
Her director husband who was equally elated also narrated some of the ordeal they had to face before getting to where they are today. “There was a time I couldn’t afford to buy her a bottle of Fanta. She just gave birth to our first child then and she was craving for a bottled drink which was just fifty naira. There was no light and we had to buy a candle, we had to make a choice between buying a candle and drinking fanta, so we bought the candle”
Garbed in flowery Ankara wear, the Faani’s made a lovely photo shot to celebrate the bond and love that has sustained them for seven years. Their love story and experience has taught us that it is not all that glitters that are gold, when the beginning was rough, the two love birds decided against odds to keep pushing and they are already reaping the reward of their efforts today. In an age where it is only money that counts in the choice of a life partner most especially in the make believe world, the Faani’s have proved that love, patience, tolerance and determination conquers all.
Born on May 1, 1993 in Ebonyi state, she started her acting career in 2009 but shot into limelight in 2012 after featuring in a drama film “The end is near”.
She walked down the aisle in 2013 with her director heartthrob, Austin Faani; their traditional wedding took place on May 30th, 2013 in Ebonyi state. And they had their white wedding on June 1, 2013 in Asaba, Delta state. Their marriage is blessed with three adorable children, Kamara, Kaira and Chiemerie Faani.
