Four Months Old Baby Kidnapped By Female Pastor,Pst Charity Okpara, in Lagos, Recovered in Anambra State
A four months old baby who was stolen from her mother on the 6th of November 2019 in Lagos by a Pastor and sold to a trader, Happiness Ejikeme, has being recovered in Anambra state by the Nigeria police.
The 25 years old mother of the baby, Blessing Okon Ben, narrated to NTA News how the baby was kidnapped by Pastor Charity Okpara, the founder of her church;
“the Pastor of my church took me to a place in Oshodi and left me there, I had no transport fare on me to take me back home.”
The father of the child, Egbon Harrison revealed to NTA News that the kidnappers deceived his wife and collected everything on her including baby Oluchi Harrison.
The suspects Pastor Charity Okpara, Happiness Ejikeme and the buyer, Mercy Nwokike (based in Anambra state) were all paraded on Saturday by the Nigerian police in Lagos.
Speaking to news men, the founder of the church said she received the total of N375,000 for her efforts. While the trader, Happiness Ejikeme confessed that;
“The woman that asked me to adopt for her, lives in Anambra and the baby was taken to Anambra.”
The buyer, Mercy Nwokiki from Anambra disclosed that she paid N800,000 for the child.
The Lagos State Commissioner of police, Hakeem Odumosu warns perpetrators of such crime to desists from it or face the full wrath of the law. He also urged the public who wishes to adopt, to do that legally.
