DONE DEAL: Krzysztof Piatek joins Hertha Berlin from Milan for reported €27m
Hertha Berlin have announced the €27m signing of Krzysztof Piatek from AC Milan just a day before the transfer window closes.
The Bundesliga outfit have fended off strong competition from London clubs Tottenham and Chelsea for the Poland striker’s signature.
Speaking following the confirmation, Hertha’s managing director Michael Preetz said on Thursday: With Krzysztof we have a highly talented attacker who is impressive at the highest level of his goalscoring and attacking quality, both in Serie A and in the national team.
‘Through him, we now have even more quality on the offensive.’
Milan also said on a statement: “AC Milan announces the agreement with Hertha BSC for the definitive transfer of the player Krzysztof Piątek to the German Club.”
