Watford 2-0 Man Utd: Bottom side’s 2 goals in 4 mins end Utd’s unbeaten run,as Pogba returns

Watford boosted their hopes of avoiding relegation as they secured only their second Premier League win this term against a disappointing Manchester United team at Vicarage Road.

The result sees the Hornets move within six points of safety and level on points with Norwich in 19th, while United remain eighth.

David de Gea’s error gifted Watford their opening goal, with Ismaila Sarr’s mishit shot bouncing through his arms and striking him in the face before going in.

Troy Deeney compounded a miserable day for United as he registered his first league goal since April with a penalty after Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s foul on Sarr.

Game is over and the final score is Watford 2-0 Man Utd.

The Hornets take the lead as De Gea commits a huge blunder to allow Sarr’s strike through his grasp. Hughes’ delivery is headed on towards Sarr by Kabasele. He strikes his volley into the ground, but it should be a routine claim for the Spaniard. However, he allows it to travel through his gloves and into the net. A shocker for the United keeper.

54′ Penalty Goal! Watford 2-0 Man Utd (Deeney)

The Hornets double their advantage as their skipper keeps his cool from 12 yards. He goes for power straight down the middle and he finds the back of the net, with De Gea guessing incorrectly diving to his right.
