wedding crasher’ bursts in on reception shouting ‘it should’ve been me’ to horror of bride who feared it was husband’s ‘crazy ex-girlfriend’

A wedding crasher bursts into a reception and shouts ‘stop the wedding, it should have been me’ in a hilarious moment caught on camera.

Stacey Owen, 29, thought the intruder was her new husband Keri’s ‘crazy ex-girlfriend’ as she made a dramatic entrance in a white dress.

But the woman was actually comedian January Rees, from Glynneath, Wales, who interrupted the gathering at Ty Newydd Country Hotel in Aberdare.

Hilarious footage shows Ms Rees hitting Ms Owen on the head with a bouquet as the newly-married couple tried to dance.

But Ms Owen quickly found out it was a stunt organised by Jackie Lewis, her maid of honour.

Ms Lewis said the prank was five months in the planning and saw her have to convince Ms Rees to go through with it, before making sure it did not go ‘drastically wrong’.

She told Wales Online: ‘Stacey expected some sort of surprise and I just wanted to do something silly. I was searching for ideas online when I came across videos of drag queens going down the aisle which gave me this idea.’

Ms Owen, who got married on November 30, revealed how scared everyone was when it first happened.
