Tottenham battled back from 2-0 down to secure a 4-2 win over Olympiacos and book their place in the knockout phase of the Champions League, with Serge Aurier and Harry Kane seeing them over the line in the final 17 minutes.
Jose Mourinho’s first European game and first home match at the Spurs helm began miserably but Dele Alli, Aurier and a Harry Kane brace saw them produce a blistering response and confirm a spot in the last 16 for last season’s beaten finalists.
A brilliant start by Olympiacos left Spurs stunned as Youssef El-Arabi and Ruben Semedo had the visitors two up by the 19th minute, only for a defensive lapse to hand Spurs a way back through Alli’s first Champions League goal in two years.
Kane restored parity early in the second half after some quick thinking from a ball boy, before Aurier blasted home to put Spurs ahead, their lead doubled as the captain got his second in the 77th minute.

A searching ball down the right flank is not well dealt with by Rose, allowing El-Arabi to pick it up deep inside the Tottenham half. The forward cuts inside of Winks before curling a long-range effort into the bottom left corner. Gazzaniga stood no chance.

Semedo doubles the visitors’ lead! An in-swinging corner from the left is not dealt with by Tottenham and, after a deft touch by Guilherme, the loose ball drops to Semedo who fires his shot beyond Gazzaniga from only a few yards out.

Mourinho opts to make an early change in an effort to get Tottenham back into the match. Eriksen replaces Dier.

Alli pulls one back on the brink of half time! A one-two between Aurier and Winks allows the full-back to whip a low cross into the box. Meriah completely misses his clearance at the near post and Alli is on hand to steer the ball beyond Sa from only a few yards out.

After breaking away down the right following a quick throw-in, Lucas drives into space before pulling it back for Kane. From the centre of the box, the Tottenham captain showed great composure to steer the ball beyond Sa.

Alli shows great feet to drive into the box before his cross is flicked on in the centre of the area by Son. The loose ball floats over to the right for Aurier who rifles his shot into the bottom left corner from the right side of the box.
GOAL! Tottenham 4-2 Olympiakos Piraeus (Kane)
Following a free-kick from the left which was delivered by Eriksen, the Tottenham captain found space in the centre of the box to steer his headed effort inside the far post.
