Ogenyi Onazi Did what NFF couldn’t do, pay for surgery of 2009 FIFA U17 World best player SANI Emmanuel

Trabzonspor defensive midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has shown his soft side by offering to pay for the operation of injured Sani Emmanuel.

An ‘Achilles Tendonitis’ Sani Emmanuel picked up during training has prevented him from stepping on the football pitch in such a long time.

The 26-year-old who has played for Oskarshamns, Maccabi Netanya, Lazio Primavera, FC Biel-Bienne, US Salernitana and Bodens in the past will need more than 1,000,0000 Naira to correct the problem through surgery.

So kind-hearted Onazi, touched by well Nigerians attempts to raise the money themselves, has stepped in to fund the life changing medical care.

“I got a call from the doctor that @Onaziogenyi has paid 1.4m for surgery and also transfered 50k for my ticket to Lagos. Thank you brother. May God continue to bless you. The surgery is scheduled for 2nd December 2019,” Sani Emmanuel wrote via his official Instagram Handle.

It will recalled that Ogenyi Onazi and Sani Emmanuel were part of the Nigerian team that placed second at the 2009 FIFA U17 World Cup. They are both products of My People FC.

Sani Emmanuel was further named the tournament best player and second highest goal scorer.
