BREAKING: El Clasico has been postponed to Wednesday 18 December, per multiple reports

Multiple reports have confirmed that El Clasico is postponed to Wednesday 18 December due to the ongoing Catalan protest in Barcelona.

The match is scheduled to be played at Barcelona’s Camp Nou stadium on 26 October.

But due to the current Catalonia protest, La Liga asked that the game be reversed to Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu.

That proposal has been rejected by both clubs and with such a fluid period of unrest in Catalonia, the possible option left is that the match is pushed back by two months.

Now that Spanish FA’s Competition Committee has also rejected the idea of playing the game in Madrid, the game is bound to be postponed to Wednesday 18 December.
